For as long as I've known Sophie, 23 years, she's done her best to remain out of the spotlight.  In fact, when we first met, she was in my classroom for a whole year before I even knew she was there.  So when she came to me and told me she had a story to tell - a story to share - I knew I had to make that happen.

We started filming in July of 2019 with a talented group of filmmakers and haven't looked back.  And although we've already completed a great deal, Sophie's story is still being told each day as we take on new challenges and discover new things.  Just when we think we know what the story is about - the story we'll be sharing - the circumstances change.

 

As we head towards the final stages of our film, we are asking for the help of those around us to take this film to the next stages of social media and presentation.   We know this is a large undertaking, and we don't go into it lightly.  We will be doing everything within our power to make certain this film is shared on a wide level.

I do have previous experience making documentaries.  My last documentary was selected by South by Southwest (SXSW), one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world, to have its world premiere.  It's an experience I'll never forget.

Needless to say, this story is much more personal.  Sophie is my wife.  Sophie is my best friend.  Sophie is my inspiration.  Please help us share her story via social media.
